Painting Horses (limit of 10 Students for this course)
Teacher- Linda Shantz

Course Description In this workshop we will look at the horse as a subject or as part of a larger composition. We will spend some time with a live model talking about the importance of anatomy, and look back at how the horse has been depicted in art over the years. Any medium you are comfortable with is welcome. As we want to focus on working in colour, if you have a reference in mind please have it drawn out before the workshop. There will also be some reference photos available for those who do not have their own.

Please note: This course will be held at two locations, In the a.m.at Linda’s home in Campbellville 10445 Second Line where we spend time with her horses. We will then spend the rest of the day at FASM member Terry Shaw’s Studio – Hee Haw Hill, at 10300 Guelph Line a short drive from Linda’s.
